While researching organic cotton, I read an article that deeply changed the way I think about tampons. Trimmings from conventional cotton are used to make cotton products like tampons. Those trimmings contain insecticides and pesticides that can be absorbed by our bodies. I immediately researched organic tampons and discovered Lola. I signed up for their subscription plan which is just so damn convenient. The tampons are certified organic by ICEA GOTS and hypoallergenic. I like the flushable cardboard tampons because they are biodegradable and not plastic. Plus, Lola gives back by donating feminine care products to low income women and girls across the US.
