I love living in Los Angeles but we have a serious problem. Homelessness has surged 75% in the last six years. As part of my Kickstarter campaign, I committed to donating 5% of my funds to Food on Foot - a Los Angeles non-profit helping the poor and homeless individuals to earn their way off the streets with a full-time job and housing they can afford. I’m not self-made and I’m only able to launch a business because I have support. I am committed to paying it forward and using my business as a platform to give back. Food on Foot is an incredible organization supporting our community and 85% of the people they find jobs for are still in those jobs a year later. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped spread the word about my Kickstarter campaign. Today I was able to make a $757 donation to Food on Foot and help support our Los Angeles community.
Funding secured! Thank you to everyone who helped me to reach my Kickstarter funding goal. With your help, I raised $15,186 toward launching my first sustainable ready-to-wear collection for creative professionals. The money will be used to purchase fabric, supplies, and cover the cost of my first production run. I want to build a business that is mindful of environment and strives to reduce the harmful effects of the fashion industry on our planet. I also want to use business as an opportunity to raise awareness about causes, charities, and people making the world a better place. As promised, I’ll also be donating 5% of my funds to Food on Food - a Los Angeles non-profit helping the poor and homeless individuals to earn their way off the streets with a full-time job and housing they can afford. I am committed to paying it forward and using my business as a way to give back. Thank you so much for your contributions and joining me on this journey.
