(Los Angeles, CA, July 22, 2018) - Los Angeles designer Ellice Ruiz launches a sustainable and ethical lifestyle brand for conscious creative professionals. Her first collection titled “Wardrobe” offers high-quality, modern wardrobe essentials and artsy statement pieces for creative professionals that transition from the studio to the show. As a former gallery director, Ellice Ruiz designs for the creative class and takes direct inspiration from her career in the arts.
The Ellice Ruiz collection is Girlfriend Tested™ by a diverse group of creative friends. Each garment is crowdsourced for thoughtful design features that flatter various body types, transition from day to night, and function for the creative lifestyle. As part of the design process, the designer invited her friends to come preview all the pieces in the collection as works in progress. She welcomed their honest criticisms and suggestions on how to make each garment more wearable. The result is like a peer-reviewed stamp of approval on each garment.
“I think one of the more important avenues towards sustainability in the fashion industry is creating clothes women will love to wear again and again,” Ruiz said. “We worked really hard to create high quality transitional clothes that are timeless yet modern. Clothes that women can wear to work, on the weekends, or on vacation.”
Her brand is also about empowering women. From concept to design, every part of the line is created by women for women. She believes giving is better than receiving. She is committed to donating a percentage of sales to charities helping to make the world a little bit brighter. A portion of the proceeds from her Kickstarter campaign will be donated to Food and Foot, a Los Angeles non-profit organization dedicated to assisting the poor and homeless of Los Angeles through programs that help people transition to full-time employment and life off the streets.
Ellice Ruiz is Los Angeles lifestyle brand creating sustainable clothes using ethical manufacturing practices, promoting an environmentally conscious lifestyle, and cultivating community through shared passions for arts, culture, and the environment.
